All true. Just depends how hard @Juisebocks wants to wheel.

Honestly, if I had still had a 4 banger, id stick with the steel and look at deeper gearing.

I’ve seen steel bend more than alloy, hard kits on alloy seem to create cracks.

Mine have definitely become less straight.... But with the suspension in, I only had to skate on a few things this weekend, as opposed to the hard hits I was doing the previous year.

I tend to under wheel my truck. I have to have it good to go on any given day to tow a mower around and get me to work. If everybody would stop buying all of the XJs around here, I'd 100% commit to one of those as a trail rig.

I am not opposed to a shorter gear ratio and it's likely in the cards, but I want to wait until I step up a size in tires. Things being as they are, my current tires are doing just fine (damn Coopers won't freaking wear out) and the costs for our upcoming wedding are slowly creeping up. So truck stuff might just get added to the registry instead of me buying it for myself :fingerscrossed:

I like the Jdub skid plate cutting file, I need to get a quote on cutting it. Last time I sent it to my usual scumbag, he said his table was out of commission for a while.

Either way, you aren't wrong, I just need to commit. I'm a big pus-pus when it comes to spending money though. It's a habit I picked up from when I was a penniless hobo.

A front bumper made of pool noodle floatation devices is prolly the most functional route for Puddle Jumper:rofl:

This is accurate. See Top Gear "Toybota" and "Crossing The Channel" for further inspiration.

It's a junk pallet. Not worth keeping. I do have 5 good ones though from our crack seal operation (with plastic sheeting stapled to them) that I use as painting/work platforms. Gona be doing that again soon with the rear bumper and sliders.
