Interesting. Doesn't the main slider basically sit right underneath the pinch weld? So your saying, no matter where I mount these along the pinch weld, the sliders won't block the lights?

There is quite a bit of space between sliders and the pinch weld. Plus, the lights are flush with the bottom of the pinch weld, so they don't hang down. The main tube on my sliders is outside of the pinch weld and the lights will be behind the pinch weld, so the lights will be behind the main tube. You have to place them somewhat close to where instructions say to measure or the wiring will be too short. The light are not directly above any tubing on my sliders for double cab. I also ran my wire from passenger side under the truck and all the wires through the grommet under the seat. It is a bitch to fight getting anything under the carpeting and across the inside.

    Ok great- thanks for that.
So basically, If I follow the directions, I'll have no conflict with Mobtown sliders.

    Good to go. Thanks!

Anyone have any experience troubleshooting these things?

I spent way too long installing them... I should have paid someone for that.
Now they're in, the interior lights work as expected (they bright and dim based on use of the lights).

However, the puddle lights won't illuminate at all.
I'm thinking the controller has a failure.

Edit- nevermind. I was op testing the lights individually... they only work when plugged in pairs. Geez

Eagle- or anyone else with Mobtown sliders-

The 2017 instructions say to mount these puddle lights inboard- centered on the 3rd grommet from the front and rear.

Staring at the picture posted by Eagle here, if I do that, the puddle light will be covered by the slider support bar.

Can anyone with mobtown sliders check the location of where he support bars are in relation to the grommets underneath.
I really don't want to drill these in the wrong place and have the sliders interfere..

Please IM if you can help.

I have this set. Had them done a's a port install option. My only complaint is the floor lights stay ON while driving. Annoying as hell. How can it be rewired to go on and off with the dome light?

There's a red spade connector, with yellow wires. I "think" if you cut the one that leads to the footwell lights it will kill the secondary dim.

I noticed when testing if I left this disconnected they worked as on/off...

    Love this feature:
If it was installed per the instructions referenced on page 1 - it'll be in the lower left kick panel.

So cutting that wire, it will come on with dimmer on or when door is open? Then will cut off when turning off dimmer off or shut door?

There's 2 yellow wires that fuse to 1 at the connector. I SUSPECT if you cut the 1 that runs to the foot wells, they will only come on when the door opens.

That should be a dealer repair for a mis-wired installation.

    It's not miswired.
They dim to a very small ambient amount when running.
    I actually like it.

Does all of them.do that? I was expecting it to light when u open the door. Outside and inside. Then when u start the truck I would want them to go off. But only the outside shut off.

    I agree.

Seems you could just tie the inside lights to the same leg as the outside lights, and off they'd go, right along with the dome.
