Is this a discontinued accessory from Toyota?

No no. I’m referring to the OP. There is a sparks Toyota link (which doesn’t work and a part number- that doesn’t work). So just confused if this is an “accessory” option put together by this dealer at one point or if Toyota actually offered this.

If MESO actually had this in stock, I’d buy it.

Lol. I never heard of it as an option. I got mine used from someone here. But meso was very helpful in the wiring dept at least.

Meso is starting to drop a bunch of products. Get on the email list, and check it constantly, but don’t tell anyone.

I just ordered (& it's shipped) the Toyota puddle lights from Sparks in SC. Their shipping cost was ridiculous ($26) but I believe I've read somewhere on here that it was a port option from Toyota at one point. Kind of surprised it isn't still. Or perhaps it's a regional option?

It's a SET (Southeast Toyota) port installed option. My 2017 and my 2020 both had it installed. May have limited supply online due to COVID, but it's still available as a port installed option in my area. It's available for most Toyota vehicles, even the Camry can get it.

Well it took me about 3 hours, went well. I was very particular and patient with the install. Directions were spot on and very detailed. Nice OEM looking fit and finish. Very nice mod, plus I did all new interior led light swap too. The lights are very bright, nicely placed and work great lighting up the step bars. I'm very pleased with the outcome. Get some clear silicone sealant, I didn't use the foam tape or the tape provided. I did run the wires from the pass side along the top of the carpet. Then tucked the wires doun about 6 inches. That was pretty easy as I was sweating fishing the wires through the bottom. They really give you everything you need. All In all I think it went perfect, its a lot to do but well worth the outcome and the lights give the truck a nice upgraded look.IMG_20211001_225806114.jpg IMG_20211001_223633464.jpg IMG_20211001_225806114.jpg IMG_20211001_225806114.jpg IMG_20211001_225837057.jpg IMG_20211001_223633464.jpg

@mds08 that's awesome! Looks great (and a little quicker than I expected). Did you happen to take any interior pictures w/o the camera flash? I was wondering how the predator steps would interfere with them but doesn't look like much.

Where did you pick up the wheels?

Thanks, I will take some pics later and will post up tomorrow. The steps do not obstruct the lights at all, in fact they somewhat light the stops up some. The lights under the dash do dim to a nice soft dimmed light. which I like. I also ran the wires from the puddle lights under the truck in a small wire loom for that oem look.

I like the idea that they're tied into the interior lights so they fade on/off but also will fade on as you approach (w/o using remote to unlock)

I read/understood you correctly in that instead of fishing the passenger side under the floorboard/seat carpet you went up under the front of the foot well?

Get some of the small wire loom as I think this makes it look very nice under the truck. Also the left front light wire could be a little longer as that's the only complaint I have. Just make sure you run the wire on top of the other wires after you pulled it through the rubber on the floor board drivers side going to the kick panel. They don't give you much. Also instead of running under the carpet from the pass. side I went along the top of the carpet and pushed it down behind the carpet as this ties in well with the under the dash lights. I did add little paper tabs explaining what every wire is for and what it goes to. I did this as well when I installed my N2 Design remote start and front cam mod. Just if I ever need to know what aftermarket wires are under the dash. So take you time as I was going to do it through out the weekend but I just kept going. The only hard part was drilling the holes, running the wires and the wiring or where you do the taps you will have to slice the tape on the wire bundles. Be patient and do neat work makes it for a flawless end results.

Labeling is clutch for future self! The N2 is on my list (once the truck hits a year and can't use the factory fob). The drilling of holes through paint will be the hardest (mental) part for me.

This weekend and next few are dedicated to getting my winter camping bed build completed but will get to the puddle lights before the snow flies.

You know your keyfob will always work to run your remote start. That feature doesn’t expire after the 12 mo trial.

What expires is the ‘remote connect’ features from the app.

This goes for all Toyotas built after 11/20 with the Remote Connect option. Trust me it will still work.

Oh nice! I could have sworn I read somewhere that the lock x3 was "linked" to the app.

Will say this: the range is significantly better with this fob than it was for my '17' H-key.
