I am new so please forgive me if this is not helpful. My Taco has a 7/16 date made in Baja, California. I currently have 3,000 miles and I went to Pueblo Toyota for a service appointment. Got it made for Monday 9/12 and I will update everyone on the progress. I will say Service Tech was awesome and right when he saw me he said, "Let me guess", "Erratic shifting", "ECM flash upgrade" yes, "Check ATF?" yes, "Check ujoints for grease and ensure proper torque of 52lbs. for ubolts?" I said yes to all of the above. It was just a pleasure to not have to argue about getting these things done.

I will update all on the service when completed, I just wanted everyone to know if you are in the area, they seem like a good service department so far. A side note: I m not really experiencing any issues other than staying in lower gear too long on cruise control.

I've called several places for the update and all but one knew what I was talking about. I think they were playing dumb

Yea, I was glad I didn't have to get into a pissing match. He also mentioned to me the ECM reboot TSB as well. It may have something to do with it holding the tranny flash better. Not sure, I will update on my service though.

Service was completed this morning, ATF was a 1/4 qt low, added and topped off. Only two zerk fittings on the front drive shaft, both were greased, the rear shaft is a closed system. AT flash update completed, I really haven't been able to drive it enough yet to see if I feel a significant difference. Asked for an synthetic oil change and it only costs $50 which I didn't mind paying as it was not included in the ToyoCare. All in all a very good experience with the Pueblo Toyota service department.

Great truck and thanks for posting positive feedback on a dealership. We all have LOTS of negatives to report, so it's nice hear a pat on the back when its deserved.

    Any update on transmission shifting?

No problem, the only transmission issue that bothered me was when it was in cc and it would downshift to go up a hill and stay in that gear way too long even after reaching speed. The TSB has fixed this issue for me now.
