    Hello,
I have an old 4Runner with a 22RE that has a blown head gasket and am looking to get it back on the road. The last time I was driving it coolant started coming out between the block and the head so it has problems but hasn't overheated. It has ~60K on a 20ish year old rebuild so while not fresh it is not worn out either. My dilemma is to just toss in a rebuilt engine or get the head gasket done. Any thoughts, suggestions or recommendations?

Depends on the condition of the engine, I have no experience with blown head gaskets. I'd take it apart and look. I live in South Everett and might be persuaded to help.
When I had vehicles without torque to yield head bolts I re-torqued the head bolts and adjusted the valves regularly which with good luck prevented any blown head gaskets. I like the 20-22R engine.

Bump! Still looking for suggestions and/or somebody interested in tearing into it for me for a reasonable price...

Depending on what parts cost, and how much time you have I'd take a stab at doing the head gasket. If it goes south you were thinking about putting in a new motor anyway... I'm a known fool though.
