I would wait considering how overpriced they are.

Well all 2021 Tacoma’s will be made in Mexico not Texas USA anymore so if there is any 2020 Tacoma’s with the 5 in the beginning of the vin left I would get the 2020 those will be me sought after in the future FYi

If you can find something you like now, including the price, why wait?

Good to know! I actually have a Cement TRD OF coming in on the 22nd. Don't have the VIN so not sure if its made in Mexico or not. There's some 2020s made in Mexico at my dealership right now.

Wait till late November or early December and get a '21 for less than you would pay for a '20 now.

Deals on 2020 over 2021. Won't see much change with 2021 except a new color. Make sure you get LED head lights is my recommendation.

My local dealer just got several new ones today. Nothing I wanted but they are $1000.00 off. When are the 2021s due to arrive? I could order what I want but I was told it could be up to 4 months for delivery.

yes they have been making Tacoma’s in Mexico & Texas USA for years now even the 2nd Gens is why look for the 5 In the beginning of the vin that’s how you know for a fact but all 2021 from what Toyota is saying will be made in Mexico FYi is why I got one this year & the 5 in the vin & door jam says it as well.i sold my 2nd Gen with was the last year made in freemont ca USA so didn’t want to give it up for one made in Mexico.

Well lets just hope the one I'm getting is made in US. I mean it really doesnt matter to me. But if it helps with resale value being made in US then i'm all for it. I'll stick with the 2020 Tacoma coming in a few days. Thanks for your insights everyone!

I think everybody should specify after lodging a complaint whether they have a “3” or a “5” model. My “Taco” was made in Mexico and I haven’t had any issues with mine what so ever....at least not yet. 6000 miles only though. Or....maybe I just don’t complain about normal vehicle crap.

My 2020 has 5 so I assume made in Mexico. And doesn’t bother me at all. 15K on truck and running strong no issues . I’m pretty sure my 2nd gen 13 sport was also made down south. 169K and truck was a beast ! I’m sure will have same experience with my 2020. Viva el taco !

What’s the point of getting a taco made in the USA when you can get true authentic tacos from Mexico

I just put my 2020 TRD OR with 1,289 miles, two months old for sale on the forum. $38,750 but includes original wheels (boxed) and new Black TRD wheels.

There’s no difference in resale or quality between the two plants. They’re both Toyota plants building the same truck under the same quality controls. I’ve yet to see any empirical evidence to support any real quality difference between the two.

Fair enough. It doesn’t really matter to me where it’s made. Nor do I plan to resell it (I say that now lol). I plan to keep this till it’s dead. I’m just ready for my Tacoma to come in!
