I could wait. But it’d cost me $2k in title fees. I initially traded my 2013 tacoma prerunner for a 4x2 TSS Tundra. And my indecisive ass isn’t happy with it. So went back and ordered a Cement TRD OF Tacoma. The dealers gonna take care of the $2k title. And that leaves me with another month to pay the title for the TRD.

I’m still in positive equity, but could of been paying $25k for a TRD OF.

I know I know. I fucked up. But I’ll be happy now.

You could say this month has been full of regret driving a big ass Tundra that barely fits in the garage.

I pulled trigger on last cement maual double cab on order coming from Texas. Honestly I'm saving more money buying a 2020 due to lower interest rates and also heard there are almost no changes to the one I want

Thanks for putting USA after Texas and Fremont CA, I was confused as to where those places were.

To me, 2021 isn't worth the model year unless the dual AC is new to you and you like it, or you like the new color/trim levels they added. This virus is making things great for trade in right now, not sure how long that will be. Dealers aren't really doing any deals on the 2020 because a lot of dealers have a limited stock on new vehicles. I was waiting on a 2020 from one dealership for weeks for them to do a dealer swap to get what I wanted. They finally said they would not be able to get what I wanted, so they returned my deposit. The best deal you'll get is for your trade. For example, I purchased my 2017 in May of '17 for $36k and traded it for $30.5k this past Monday. I did have low miles, so YMMV. Also, bank interest rates are awesome, I got my 2020 with a 2.04% rate. Couldn't wait and see if it would go lower, I've never seen this low from my bank before and didn't want to chance it. A year ago the same loan would have been 4% or higher for me.

Good to know. Going to try and bring my APR down and get some deals since it is a 2020.

I would wait, especially I am hoping to get one by end of this year if I can get a deal. I am in So. Cal but Tacomas seem flying off from the lots quicker than I would get there.

either way, I do not need one right the way. I hope the end of year for getting a 2020 model would be a deal. or even I can wait till early next year.

    1) there is hardly any 2020 inventory, so I doubt there will be deals like you have seen in past years
    2) there are very few changes from 2020 to 2021, so little incentive there to wait for a 2021
    3) if you find exactly what you want now and especially if you need to trade a vehicle, go for it now. If you want to save some money, I’d wait until late December for year end or at least until inventory levels have increased to soften prices.
    4) if you really want to know where your Tacoma was made, all you have to do is read that little sticker on the driver door frame

Went with the 2020. Because believe it or not, 2020 has been good to me. Thanks for the insights everyone.

Thats just going to limit your buying options which usually translates to paying more $ in the end. There is no difference in the quality of trucks Toyota builds regardless of where they are being built. They uphold the same standards here, Mexico or Pluto which is part of the reason most people buy them. But hey, to each his own. Good luck!

I wanted the voodoo blue and thought they only had that color in 2019 and 2020 ? I also love that cement grey someone had a pic of in 2020 ! I didn’t get much off my price bc that color is sought after so we almost paid sticker price! Sadly

I went with '20 because I wanted quicksand. Every other car I've ever bought I've had to settle on color. This time I wanted the one I wanted dammit! Stupid and petty, but it makes me happy.
