Just installed some 5100s set a 0.65. Truck was driving great but had very small pull to the right. So I got an alignment but the pull is still there. When the steering wheel is turned ever so slightly to the left(to compensate for the pull), the truck tracks straight. There’s no wandering or anything and drives really well. The only annoying part is this small pull to the right. Truck has cooper at3 4S 265/70/16.

Do you have aftermarket upper control arms?

Basically the caster looks invalid for a OEM arm with 5100 lift. So we cant tell what it actually is.

Typically the max on a 5100 lift is 2 degrees, you have 3.4 which is more likely an SPC, but with stock tire size there's no reason to go so high.

I'd simply have them do it again.

But if the specs are correct, then as far as I can see there's nothing wrong.

I would ask for closer to a 0.5* caster split with the right side having the higher caster value. Even with the +0.1* camber split and -0.2* caster split, you're a little shy of a leftward pull to compensate for road crown. I don't know whats the roads are like near you but 0.5* more caster on the right side with even camber is usually a good starting point

Thanks for the replies. Could it be that the steering wheel wasn’t centered during the alignment?

Possibly. If you let go of the steering wheel in the right lane and the truck drives straight but steering wheel is crocked then yes. If the steering wheel is straight but the truck pulls right then no it was centred.

In my experience the three main causes of a crocked steering wheel(provided toe is equal on both sides) is either not centring the steering wheel with the engine running for hydraulic systems/engine off for electric steering. The second reason is not jouncing the vehicle adequately before and after making an adjustment and again after every adjustment until the numbers stay. Third is not locking the steering wheel and trusting wintoe.

Admittedly with flat rate I only really jounce the vehicle prior to aligning and once after I set camber/caster, lock the steering wheel and fine tune the toe during the road test... works out faster that way plus you can feel a good toe setting out. Highway/performance tires tend to drive better with a lower toe setting where as all terrains usually like a touch more

Ok that makes sense. Yes in order to track straight, I have to hold it to the left, if I let it go it continues straight but still crocked. If I straighten it at center, then it pulls right. I’ll call the shop tmrw and see if I can take it back. Thank you for the help.

They told me they kept the alignment the same and just adjusted the tie rods a bit.
