Yea, I saw your right up on that, I may end up doing that once I get a .45

a 230gr bullet sounds a lot more impressive than a 160gr. I know either one will do its job but why not, right?! :D

It's a good mod for any caliber.;) Gives it the versatility of a short mag and an extended one. However, once SA copied me with the XD45compact, I sold my XD40sc I had at the time to fund it. Works for me!

My dogs are actually trained to NOT bark in the house. The effect on those who are not welcome here when they realize that they are inches away from a very big dog that they were totally unaware of is all that much the better. :D

Nice, element of surprise. our chihuahua barks at everyone when they come in or are at the door, the German Shepard doesn't make a peep when she's in the house, outside she is loud as hell though.

i had something kinda like this happen a few weeks ago. home by my self. just out of shower. and i hear 2 knocks. i looked out my bedroom window i can see most of the drive way. and i saw nothing. at first o thought maybe UPS or something. but no. so i grabbed the Glock and but some shorts on and when i got to living room(at this time it was not 2 min from the time i heard the first knock) and no one was at the front door. i than looked out back and nothing. 1) it may have been the one neighbor coming to ask something. or 2) someone walked up are long ass drive way that is about 350 foot maybe a bit more and is a hill.

I've got a program on my laptop that starts the webcams recording audio and video whenever they detect motion. I'm always keeping an eye for suspicious people. I live in a good area, but people still occasionally get robbed and shit happens.

When I was 13 someone tried breaking into my parents house via my bedroom window. I was still awake and saw the guy trying to get my window open, so I flipped shit making a ton of noise and it scared him off. People think I'm paranoid, I say you dont know what its like.

Get a dog, but make sure it's easy to house train and a decent watch dog. Had a similar thing happen to me. He was probably going to break in, something spooked him. The can in his hand was probably bear spray. Good thing you didn't open the door.

Im glad noting more happened from that excitement, but I think grabbing your AR was maybe the wrong gun to grab, unless that is the only gun you have, cause if you miss that bullet wil keep on going and might hit someone innocent, it has happen many times in cases like that, shotgun is the best thing to pull for many reasons, 1 is that you really don't have to aim and 2 is that it isn't lethal after it hits a wall unlike your AR is.

I have my Mossey under my bed loaded ready for action and at the same time it is A security knowing that I will not hurt someone innocent by accident. Having good gun safety, and discipline is important to all gun owners just my 2 cents :D
