so on the plus side i can say these shocks have held up nicely over a variety of terrain thus far. they really shine over 50MPH. they can take some pretty amazing punishment at that speed and higher. washboards / rocky trails/ fire roads etc. they just take it. The added height has been nice, in places i know i use to scrape the skip plate i don't hit anymore. The rear is a bit stiffer than i thought it would be. but overall i love it, and if i add a little weight in the back it does dampen a bit better. Low speed are really comfortable these are not miracle workers the terrain i am on can still be felt, but its a lot less jarring than stock. the travel seems pretty good too with the new UCA and the extended shocks really seems to have helped my confidence even if that is just a placebo. I have gone through different sections of rocky areas and boulders as well as flats. seems to work rather well as an all around lift.

question for OP or any one,
i also consider fox level 3 with all or icon stage 2. wonder if either these 2 kits are over kill for on road? i sometimes have 100-140 lbs on bed and don't pull anything. i just want better ride than stock and lift front max 2" and back 1.5". since i don't get the benefit of off road, is is worth to pay for either one of these two for on road or i should be fine with less expensive one?
for reference, i have 12 sport dclb prerunner.

I would recommend talking to alcan before you pull the trigger on dakars. They do custom leaf packs about 100 dollars cheaper and they stand by there products. I am getting a custom pack to maintain my 6 inches in the rear!

I love the on road performance of the fox. They really shine off road though. If you have the cash you can get the fox with the compression adjusters so you can dial it I to how you want at your whim.

I didn't. I actually removed it to make it the height I wanted. I don't tow or carry big loads so no biggie. I may opt to put it on one day. But not now.

I like the progressive fox setup, but watch out for rust, do the maintenance...hated to see a good set of coilovers start to rust after 9-10 months most roadin in Northern AZ, Colorado, Utah, NV and CA....rust...

No idea. I did the 2.5" up front and it provides 3" lift. The 2.0 I put in the rear. Those are spec for a lift. But the add a leaf gave the lift in the rear

I currently have billies on all 4 corners with 885s up front with a 2in aal in the rear but was thinking of looking for a new set up that will provide me some what better ride quality. Not to sure how the fox suspension rides.

Depends on what you want. i think they ride great. they are firmer than stock but in a good way. it reduces the body roll when you turn, it reduces nose dive when stopping. and feels more planted. Because its firmer you still feel bumps on the road. but once you get to the dirt they shine, the faster you go the smoother it gets. its amazing.
