    Alright, after much researching and much hair pulling out i've finally decided on pulling the trigger on the Toytec/Eibach front coils to level my truck and to achieve a look and suspension performance similar to that of a 2012 TRD TX Pro BAJA. My truck is a Base 2012 Tacoma Double Cab short bed 4x4 With TSB rear leafs. I already have Bilstein 5100 front shocks in all four corners (the fronts have been set @ .85 with the stock linear springs for about a year and a half now, very light use, on-road only and always cleaned.) I plan to reset the bilstien 5100's to the Base (STOCK) setting with the use of the Toytec/Eibach front coils to achieve a 1.6 inch front lift and i just have a few questions and need a few things clarified (pics are appreciated) before i go and order these front springs:

    1. will this set up make my truck practically level??

    2. since the Toytec/Eibach front coils are NOT side specific like the original Toyota front coils are (original equipment Toyota driver side front coil spring is slightly beefier to my understanding in order to compensate for "Lean" caused by the added weight of the fuel tank, battery and Humanoid in the driver's seat), would it be in my best interest to also pick up Toytec's 1/4 inch spacer in order to compensate for the "Lean" or just leave it out because the factory TRD TX BAJA does not incorporate this spacer??

    3. Is it a good idea to try and get new C-Clips (hight adjustment positioning clips) for my used front Bilstien 5100's since i've used them for awhile and will be repositioning them one space down, or will the Clips be just fine to reuse??

    4. When compared to the TX PRO BAJA, (the front suspension components) the upper control arms and all other parts look to identical to every other 4x4 and Prerunner Tacoma (except for the shocks and springs of course) and Toyota technicians say they achieved a 2.0 inch lift out of those special TRD-Bilstien shocks & Red Eibach front coils. So my question is, should i be concerned about how my alignment will turn out with my 1.6 inch lift on the Toytec/Eibach front coils with my bilstien 5100's front shocks set at ZERO?? ALSO, should i worry about any driveline vibrations with my Toytec/Eibach front coils 1.6 inch front lift?? I would imagine that since the 1.6 inch lift i am aspiring to do would be just fine since it is 0.4 inches less than what Toyota achieved (the 2.0 inch lift) on the TX Pro BAJA from the factory.

    5. Lastly; anyone who has this setup im trying to do (bilstein 5100's at ZERO with Toytec/Eibach front coils and rear TSB leafs) care to say how the Ride Quality is with the Toytec/Eibach front coils?? also, please drop any pictures if you could of how your truck sits and any other details you'd care to add.

    Well honestly im not really into OME's products so much, im trying to stick with toyota approves of and uses as much as I possibly can... im kinda trying to make my truck into a "baby tx baja" as my overall goal if you know what I mean.... and ive heard that the toytec/eibach coils ride pretty smooth, also putting them on the base setting so there is no added preload... im hoping it will be ok.

    The Eibach coils are a stiffer spring rate than the OME 883/4/5

    That is true, but only very slightly stiffer spring rate but still comfortable at the Zero setting.. my real concern is will the this particular lift develop any front diff vibes... thar is my real concern becuase id really like to stick with eibachs

    Ive glanced at them but im parshal to the eibachs, ive run them on other vehicles ive owned and vehicles my friends have owned in the past, always with positive and reliable results.

    I installed my lift kit last saturday, this is what i can tell you from my experience so far.

    Measure the rear of your truck when it's on a flat surface, using a measuring tape then measure from the ground to the bottom of your fender, do the same on the front. See the difference and figure it out how you want it set.

    The clips should be fine to re-use unless they have taken a beating from the weather, but unless you have been adjusting them all the time they should be fine.

    I ordered the pre-assembled coilovers so one coilover had the spacer already put in the drivers side for the lean, if you are just ordering coils then yes you will have to order it.

    As for the alignment part, i can't say. I installed camburg UCA'S with my coilovers, i didn't even get to an alignment shop that day and the truck drove like a dream, way better than stock and no vibes. It all depends on the vehicle i'm told, some end up with vibes and some don't. I haven't had my kit installed long enough to say i will never have vibes, still might have to do the carrier bearing drop in the future.

    If you're leaving the setting at zero, i'd assume ride quality would only improve with less stiffness. Mine was at 0.85 with the coil and toytec 1/2" spacer for a full 3" of lift for my dcab. I'm really happy with the way it rides, for now anyways :)

    Alright very good, I guess I just have to roll the dice with this one but considering everything I still can't see a definitive reason as to why I may develop a vibration other than just lifting the truck in general.

    Just got off the phone with Toytec .... ordered the 112-620 Toytec/eibach springs with the TP14 lean correction spacer for the drivers side.... hope I get close to level and hope all goes well with alignment etc..,

    From what I have read, a 1.6 inch lift w/ the Eibachs do not create a vibration and there are no alignment issues causing new UCAs. Mainly, from what I have read, anything at or above 2.5 inches of lift is where the problems start. Not saying you won't have an issue since every truck is a little different, but you should be okay.

    I had the ToyTec Coils with 5100 in the front, added a leaf to the rear and but 5150's with it.
    The alignment was always slightly off, but hardly noticeable while driving.
    When I first installed them the front was set at 2.5" to level the rear. After a year of running it, I started getting quite a bit of vibration while driving 35mph and over (think I saw something about it in another thread). Anyways I replaced the UCA's with Built Right uniballs and the vibration and alignment where no longer a problem. Plus you get a little more wheel travel.

    Overall I was very happy with the Toytec parts.

    I just got the baja truck 2 days ago. It's hard to judge the difference from what it once was due to the truck being new. From what info I could find on the baja coils they are quite similar if not the same as the ones in the ToyTec kit.

    so you have the toytec springs with the 5100's set at 2.5?? that is not safe and i can see why the alignment was off.. im planning only for an overall lift of 1.6 inches because im gonna have the billies set at ZERO or BASE setting lol, im NOT setting them at .85 or anything like that.

    Installed the eibach coils and set bilstiens at Zero and driver side lean spacer, with the help of my gf's father, and by my calculations the rear is only .25 of an inch higher than the front, so ill consider that pretty dead level, I pray that doesnt change when I get my alignment on monday but thats just an update as of now lol
