Pupdrew's 04 DBSB 4x4 College Build

Went out to pismo last weekend with my friends 07 and an 04 my brother just got

 

My 3rd flag mount i've made so far trying to find the best way to mount my flag

 

a WHOLE 3 years later and i’m finally making more changes.


Quick little update, we have THREE 4x4 double cab first gens now. Moved to riverside for college and bought a nice little house on an acre of land

Still waiting for my fox 2.5 coilovers with DSC to come in.
Getting a free pair of TC UCAS
going to order my 6” mcneil front fenders soon and still debating on what glass to get for the rear fenders

Engine is still running great and i’ve began my research on what i’m doing under the hood once the engine goes out and my options are:

4.7 Tundra Engine

Been leaning on the Solo XLT long travel kit for this truck and deavers in the back as i want this to be my cruiser truck
(planning on buying a pre-75 chevy cab and building my pre runner with my brother once he moves down south with me)

*edit*: ended up getting the camburg LT kit to save some money

*kinda considering 4 linking the taco and buying a WIY kit

Hopefully after the virus and i get back to work i’ll be able to financially comfortable enough to make these mods happen.

 

hopefully in a year or so i’ll have the metal workshop garage built in the back with a car lift and bring all my tools and welder to this house

 

Looks nice! How much you spent on the lift/suspension??

 

not too much maybe $800 in the front and $400 in the back, it was a great starter kit, now i’m in the process of ordering my LT kit

 

About 2 weeks till the camburg kits get delivered, working on ordering my coilovers and fiberglass. Also need to order some OEM tundra axles for the LT kit. Pretty excitedddd

 

yoooo whats crackinnnn, just ordered some mcneil 6” glass and a hood for the front. also yesterday we started installing my bro’s LT kit on his first gen since he got lucky and found a set of kings in stock

Hahahaha maybe, it’s sooo expensive though. I gotta make friends with someone with a hook up... then force myself hahaha. Which kit is your brother’s and which did you get?

 

i just moved out here to socal and i met a guy who’s been hooking me up with good pricing on parts .

My brother and I both ended up getting the EXACT same kit and coilovers (camburg/king) to save money because we most likely will baby these trucks and go halfers to build a truck we can beat on

for now i will just be running fox 2.5s and TC ucas

 

Good stuff man, would love to see them in action. And take some shots of all our 1st gens . Do you guys ever go out to Stoddard Wells

 

that’d be sick ! we should plan something, i’ve never really been anywhere else besides 1 trail near my house and oceano dunes lol i’ve been meaning to hit up more offroad spots but no group to go with

 

Wait seriously how do you guys not wheel, you have lifted Tacoma’s hahahah. What is the 1 trail?
If you’re more into go fast stuff, there’s plenty of open desert by Barstow. Then there’s some technical stuff in Cleghorn Road, in the Cajon pass. Then the obvious big bear trails. I’m down for a day run

 

we’re from central cal so all we do is go to the beach and offroad there with our trucks/toys and bbq/drink all day long lol

i’m down for any offroading lol the trail we hit up was called big falls

lmk whenever you wanna offroad i have TOO much free time living alone in riverside lol

 

When is your suspension coming in? I gotta clearance my 33s a bit more before I get back into wheeling again. I usually have saturdays and some week days free if that works for you

 

i’m throwing on a mid travel kit this month and then i’m waiting for my kings to get made and a bunch of other misc stuff

probs by end of august or september
