I'm looking into purchasing a '23 TRD OR with Advanced Tech Package at MSRP. Is my best bet going to be order it? I'm not finding anything locally but would be willing to travel if I could find one.

    Any tips/insight would be appreciated?

Welcome to TW, the OR is a nice trim level.

I’ll always vote for finding what you want on a lot and going to buy it.

    At this point clueless...
I found a dealership willing to sell at MSRP not too far from my house. The place didn't have exactly what I wanted so I placed an order, 2023 Tacoma TRD OR with abvanced tech package.

I’d recommend calling around and keep expanding. When I called around, the third dealership had exactly what I was looking for arriving in a week. The dealerships I called or visited had a list of what they had coming in in the next month or so. Good luck!

Is $43-45k + TTL realistic for a '23 TRD OR Premium Package with Advanced Technology Package?

What is the MSRP of the one you are looking at?

Built one on Toyota and it was 44k for just those two packages - wasn't sure if there would be further markup.

Bird in hand strategy. So much easier to negotiate, inspect, and take delivery that way.

Depends on the dealer. If you’re in a place like SoCal, get ready to fork over for their markups.

With some patience, you should be able to find a dealer who sells at MSRP or maybe even less.
Agreed. I traveled quite a bit to get the truck I wanted for a price I was willing to pay. But when I pulled up to the lot and the truck was sitting there, I was super happy.
