Purchased Viper VSS3001 Smart Start? Have Questions

I purchased it but not yet installed till Saturday. I was wondering if anyone knows I can still keep my factory key fob to unlock lock truck, seeing as the app as a delay of about 5-10 seconds to lock/unlock vehicle.
I ask cause I run out to truck real quick to grab some items and if i use the app on iPhone 5s there'll be a slight delay. If not maybe I can get a viper key fob as well but I really don't want to be without a key fob, never know what can happen to phone. Thanks for help
BTW these are questions I forgot to ask until I can go back to installer so Im asking you guys

 

There will be delay, because your using data. Your factory fob will still work, however if the viper is a alarm/starter it will set off viper alarm when you open door. If its just a remote starter don't worry about it.
