looking into a couple different 02 double cabs and have some questions.

The one I'm looking into my buddy is selling its in good shape I haven't checked the frame yet or a couple other things. But he told me he just put in a new tranny a couple months ago now I know it's a new tranny but for some reason I'm nervous to purchase it. Should I be nervous or will it hold up? Any info would be helpful!!
