Just purchased a 2010 Red, 4WD, Double Cab with 61K miles, Convenience Package 1 and the TRD Offroad Extra Value Package. The mileage is a little higher than I would have liked, but it seems to be pretty clean. The truck has what appears to be an aftermarket cap and running boards. The truck has not been through the shop yet, since it just arrived. As the owner of a 2003, I am aware of the frame issue.
Since the truck will be in for service next week, are there any recommendations that I should find out about this truck while it's on the rack? Every model year of every vehicle seems to have some issue specific to it. Is there any maintenance over and above what they should be doing that I should make sure gets done while they are preparing the truck for sale and detailing?
Thanks for the help. As a long time member of this forum, I have learned a lot.

Congrats on your purchase! 27 posts in six years - you need to step up your TW game, good sir!

Do you work at a dealer - you're mentioning it being in service for a week?

I don't have any recommendations specifically for 'problem areas' (aside from rust, but sounds like you have that covered). When I purchase a used vehicle, I like to 'start from zero' maintenance wise -- change motor oil, fluid in both diffs, t-case, brake fluid, coolant, etc. That just makes me feel good, but I'm pretty OCD about maintenance in general. Perhaps someone else will have more year-specific maintenance issues to look for.

Again - congrats, and hopefully we'll see ya around here a bit more often.

    Oh, and also...
