What my dad does when he wants to sell a vehicle to friends or family he takes it to get appreciated at the dealership as a "trade in" and thats what he sells it for. Usually a good bit less than market.

A trans flush on an already slipping tranny? Running on borrowed time IMO.

He never flushed it at 100k like you're supposed to, so 20k over that seems about right. He's not easy on his truck. He was also running stock sparkplugs at 120 lol. Goes to show you how reliable these trucks are.

I'd be surprised if a 3rd gen made it that far and the owner didn't complain it to death. :D:D

Nothing to truly complain about, the only real complain I had was the shitty shifting which the TSB honestly fixed. OVTune just kinda made it a little better. I mean I can complain about the MPGs, then again what did you expect from a truck with bigger tires and steel armor. Most of the other complaints Ive heard about are from people that want to complain about something :notsure:

Last two I had were at the 300K mark when I sold them. The last one the buyer had a plan to make money selling it back to Toyota (at least that was my take) for frame rot, trouble was it wasn't rusted enough to be condemned that's why I sold it outright.

Hey OP,check the frame to make sure it doesnt have rust, if it does, tell the dealer/owner to get it replaced by toyota if possible.

Have a reputable mechanic take a look at the vehicle, they notice items that the average joe would have a hard time finding.

and finally, what is the price for the damn thing? Alot of us have knowledge of pricing for trucks as we have all been in the market at one point and could help you out on that end as well.
