I was going to bring my downpayment of 27K as cash cause I was too cheap to pay the $5 fee for a certified cheque lol.
But dealer told me its a lot of paperwork as cash so a cheque would be better. So i paid it.
On principle I'd rather not though. Fucks charge me $12.50 a month for my account ass holes could at least give me a certified cheque for free.

Similar experience... told the dealer what I wanted... they found it... agreed to the price... offered a down payment... replied it wasn't necessary as I have purchased from them before... it arrived... took it for a test drive... installed the options... gave them the check and my trade and went home.

That's probably most of it, a check may have worked better.

What the difference between a check and a checking debt card? I think is easier to bounce a check.

My Taco was the best buying experience I ever had out of over 30 new vehicles. I gave them a check and they happily gave me a truck. I told them not to try to sell me anything else and they didn't. I was in and out in 30 minutes once my truck came in.

I shopped around a lot. most of the dealers gave me the run around.
The one I ended up getting it from was great. The sales guy was young, close to the same age (mid/late 20s), didn't push on anything, just asked what I wanted and that was it. When I picked it up he told me "i'm not going to insult your intelligence I don't need to do a vehicle walk around with you. you probably know more about the truck than I do anyways"

I'm not sure the percentages but on 40K, even .5% is costing them 200 bucks vs 20 maybe for a check.

A few listed in the signature
I had zero issues at the dealership in Kelowna. All the Vancouver dealers happily take a 2-3k deposit on a credit card and a certified cheque/money order from a bank without any issues.

It makes it so simple if you are dealing with a good dealership that doesn't try to screw you. Over 2k off negotiated, no documentation fee, no hidden fees. Put down a deposit, gave them a cheque, (ignored the finance lady that tried to sell me bullshit), then drove off in my truck.

They always try to push leases and financing due to added profit for the dealership.

Email is better for these type of transactions. Use a 200 miles radius, at least. You would be surprised. There are some great deals out there.
