I'm new to this forum. I'm casually looking to purchase a Tacoma. I was hoping with all the Toyota issues, this would be a great time to buy. A dealer told me that Toyota is consolidating three plants down to two, so all the Tacoma's on the lot are all I will see for awhile. He said they are in on real hurry to sell them, without fresh inventory coming in.
This is the reason that there were no incentives on the Tacomas, unless he made it all up. I'm not in any hurry, so I thought I would wait until later in the year. Perhaps I'll have more leverage. In pricing some newer certified used, the prices appear to be holding strong. The only other truck in this class that I would consider is the Ford, but my guess is that I will be sorry later. Unfortunately, I like the rare Blue color, access cab, 4WD, automatic, so it runs into some money. Any thoughts are welcome.
