This. The sliding rear window single handedly transforms your truck into your very own fart sanctuary.

Interesting idea. I have a first gen, thus my only input would be that it works phenomenally in the 1st gen xtracabs. You can practically feel said fart being sucked out of the cab and harmlessly into the atmosphere. Flawless Toyota engineering.

You're taking too seriously those owners manual warnings that tell you not to drive with it open.

    I read both pages.

There's 9 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

I should probably go find a thread to see what oil I should use.

I use it for ventilation in my regular cab..also if I'm carrying lumber, an 8 foot board goes through the slider and can be strapped down in the bed without having to put it against the roof and risk damaging it.

I've been on several Harley forums back when I rode.
The "oil" threads could be very entertaining and annoying.

I wonder how that rear view mirror thread is coming along?

Just playing around, this is a great forum.

On my access cab, it makes having the windows down a much nicer experience.

Less wind smacking me in the face, more steady air flow.

A few years ago I had long hair almost all the way down my back. I quickly learned after buying my first truck that driving with the slider open and not tying the hair back wouldn't mix..

Not when you have an access cab. The only window my dog gets to use is the rear window.

When you have a shell on the back you can leave the slider open to help ventilate the truck while parked (just be sure to close it before it rains).

<---- Owns a black Tacoma in the south; won't ever make that mistake again.

I had a power sliding rear window in the Ram 1500 I drove around in for 3 weeks. It was nice, but not necessary. It's just another electronic something that we don't need in our trucks.
