Discussed it with SWMBO, and she tossed a pail of cold water on my head.

Problem: Understanding that the arming switch still needs to be activated, but with it being 100% keyless (since my Base is not a chipped key)... it's probably not too smart to have my truck configured so that all someone needs to do is break the window, open the door, and drive away.
Hiding or burying the arming switch takes the convenience of the whole thing away.

I'm in, but waiting for Phase-3 where a fob is required like the Prius.

    Too many to list now.
Holding out for this. Don't care what it costs. Okay I do, a little. But seriously how cool is that. Coupled with butterfly doors my truck would be from the future!

Well how about this: is it plausible to get the phase 1 version now and "upgrade" to a more complete set-up, later?

Definatly! That is part of the design, guess i did not explain this. My bad.

If for some reason that the design changes signficantly to accomodate the new system, there will be a BIG discount for Kode: MB Push Start owners(hopefully a 125$ discount, but I cannot guerentee this as of now. Everything is still in the works on the engineering side. but if i can, I will!)

Ah, that's more like it :p

Can you PM me more info? Such as instructions/parts I'd receive or any options I have for switches/buttons/general setup (and the corresponding prices)? The latter might be a good idea to drop in the thread itself so people have a better idea...

    Thanks!

Most of the information you asked is included in the original thread; Including button options, Switch options are a little more restrictive to a type called "Double Pole Singe Throw(DPST)" or you can also use "Double Pole Double Throw(DPDT)" And an amperage rating of a minimum of 15 (spike) and 3 constant.

Thanks for the information! I will def update the original piece!

Sure can, the wiring will be alot different, so it would help if you were near me so I could get it right; But using a tacoma kit on a camero would be a no go. I would have to make a custom harness, (same price)

I spent a while digging through your threads in the OP from XR-Underground trying to get a handle for what's actually included. Other than a switch, push-button start, wiring harness and install instructions I can't tell what this consists of.

Could you put together an actual list of what's included, now and future phases? Not just a list of features, but the actual parts included. That would be helpful in gauging my interest for the value

That is pretty much it, the harness, switch, button. The harness is where the magic happens I guess ;)

Thanks Sproul and undecided! Will be making your kits tonight and shipping when I can! Undecided, the extras you ordered have been ordered! :)

I'd love this in my 3rd gen 4Runner.. I know the guys over at T4R (.org) would love this if you made a kit. I'm sub'd regardless.
