Make this work for a 1st Gen (I have a 98) and I am in! Do you have a start switch that looks like the black on switch?

Any idea when version 3 will be out? I would love to get this but feel that living in a busy area in CA my truck has a high risk of being stolen.. Will purchase when you come out with a version with key fobs

 

For those with double din video players, it would be awesome to flip a switch to turn on the screen then ask for a numerical password and then be able to hit the start button.

But subd for phase 3 or once a harness is built.

 

problem with that is, you would need a discrete output from the deck, so if you built yourself a windows CE touchscreen mini pc in place, you can add a discrete output block to it, and in theory you could type in a password to start the truck instead

 

k now the only thing stopping me from buying this! Is will I be able to convert my system to a phase 3 if it ever comes out at a reduced price

this system is something I just dont see as resellable

I love the idea of walking and never taking my key out of my truck, which I might do with my phone via command start anyways

our mitsubishi currently has this as a factory add on and I love it

 

This is freaking sweet. In the next couple weeks when I recover from buying my lift and UCAs, I'm going to have to pull the trigger. Looking at switch options in the meantime.

On a side note, looked at all the manufacturer specs and all 4 versions of that biometric switch are 24v input. Oh well... Doesn't change the fact Kody's kit is freaking sweet. Did I mention that already?

 

Read the original post mate; I will be offering a big big discount to owners of the current system so they can "upgrade" easily!

That would not only require programming the headunit (which means you would have to buy one from me) but it also has alot of other hurdles to run into. Is it possible? Surely, feasible? Less so.

No ETA on Version 3.

I bought phase 1 this weekend. I live close to Kody and he helped wire it up. It is awesome. Cannot wait for phase 3. Thanks again Kody.
