    :D:thumbsup::rolleyes:
    I must have the non-JB weld version…
It’s 78° here in San Diego, it’s been sitting out all morning, took me 30 seconds to get the sticker off and absolutely zero adhesive left behind…
peeled right off, no blow dryer!
other side was sitting in the shade. I’m able to start it, peeled like an inch and a half, and decided to spin the truck around and I’m just gonna let it marinade for a bit.
I’m going to guess, but those that struggled didn’t have enough heat.
I know this morning I couldn’t pick the sticker with my nail to save my life…

Here’s how the truck should sit with 2.5” Westcott pre collar lift , by just installing the front portion.
As Jeff at westcott suggested, stuck a floor jack under the front crossmember and just went up 2.5 inches…

    Here’s its stance, side profile.
    Doesn’t look to yabro’d to me….

    Stuff…

tires really needed to be bigger than what I decided on, but definitely gives it a pizza cutter look, and won’t suck down the gas…
My discount tire gave me $120 per tire for my new highway treads that came on the vehicle. These discount tire brand Rocky mountain 275 65 18’s were $150 a tire……
I had the factory TRd sport wheels powder coated for $70 a wheel and satin black…

so like I said point in no return, these tires ride like absolute dog shit, I feel every crack, it doesn’t feel stable at all, even though these tires are wider than what I had on there. I also think they look too small for the truck?
    Correct me if I’m wrong?
already spoke to the guys at discount and they agree, not a quality tire…
I’ve got 30 days for a full refund.
what sucks is options are limited when it comes to 18 inch wheels.
I want a buttery, smooth ride, what tire should I be looking at, my understanding c rated?
Brand recommendations, series, overwhelmed here, could use some help.
I may even go all in get some 17 inch methods and make the tire options better.
The front is going up so these pizza cutters ain’t gonna do it.
On these rocky mountain discount tires, the shred area is very beveled/rounded, versus quality tire. It’s more of a flat surface.
Rams really don’t look that bad now that their powder coated black but with these tires, they definitely give a pizza cutter vibe, but an excessive one…
Give it to me straight, this is no Bueno…

E rated will be stiffer sidewalls and NOT buttery at all! C is where its at, and do you want to keep the A/T tire or highway tire?

Well, I just traded in brand new general grabber Highway tread, to get a more aggressive all terrain tread pattern…
Don’t think anyone is putting 285s under these things and still keeping a highway tread…
Did you have something in mind?

So here's where im at now at this present time, during my shit-show....
I know the truck isnt going to ride HT tread, so be it..
The tires I have on their now are way to small, these trucks need a 285 70 17 at minimum looking at these tires now up against the truck.
Having an 18" wheel really screws you inregards to tire options.
I ordered the Method 703's +35 offset in black...
Discounts taking the ford focus wheels back & giving me all funds back toward new purchase, along with the $480 they gave me for my oem tires.
So leaning towards the Falken WildPeak AT4's.
I see there's an SL option & a load C option, both about same price,
    54 lbs vs 65 lbs
Discount states, if im not towing anything heavy, not doing any heavy offroad'ing, to pick the SL option for better ride quality...
    Is this an accurate assessment?
Heard great things about Toyo Open Country, but tire the DS pulled out, visually was blah...
    On the list:
    Nittos
    Falken
    Toyo

    Some feed-back, good or bad,

well in that size, you can get BFGoodrich KO2 or KO3 tires, Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Terra Grapplers, Recon Grapplers, or Cooper Rugged Treks....

you've made no case why you would need anything other that a standard load tire.

you can get a SL tire from most MFGs in a 285/70/17. I'm not aware of any tire larger than that is not E rated.

If I lived in or adjacent to a desert, I'd go with BFGs in SL. They are a bit hard, get noisy over time, suck in the cold, but last a long time, tolerate heat well and tend to be easy to balance.

I've had Wildpeaks and they were decent tires, my last set I switched to Falken Rubitrek and they seem to last a little bit longer.
Either way, I'd always go with a lighter tire because all I tow is a relatively small boat and that extra 10# of tire will probably kill your mileage.

    But thats just me.

Nice looking truck. IMO this gen is crying out for the Heritage grille. I would look perfect (and does on the Pro) on that bar and on this grille in that position. The standard grille looks good; The T-O-Y-O-T-A would be the icing on the cake. :proposetoast:

Toyota should make it standard across the board.

So standard load tire is where it’s at, now after talking to Wescott designs in the morning, I think I’m going to change my wheel order from 35 mm to a 25 mm…
I think what my mind is made up on is 285 70 18, not any bigger…

I need my brain massaged in regards to exactly how much front wheel poke there’s going to be on a off-road or a sport in regards to a +25 mm offset, I know for a fact, they’ll be very knowledgeable with specifics in regards to that….
kind of hard to tell specifics from pictures…
I think they’re gonna say don’t go +35 mm on the upper trim levels..

All-Season Tread with "Mountains" logo on the sidewall Load Range C. I would recommend Michelin.

Was a: "Buttery-Smooth ride" mentioned in here somewhere? I don't know if you'll ever get that with a Tacoma or any other mid-size truck. I think you'll need to switch to a sedan: 1970's Lincoln Town Car, or Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham.
