Pushing the switch will do nothing if the truck is already running, since all the power isbvia the battery anyhow. That's just the way electricity works.

I often times flip the switch and take ny keys out ( if im using the keys ) just so I can leave my truck running so I can go back inside my house or something.

Pushing the button will not do anything either, UNLESS the clutch is pressed all the way in, in that case it will energize the starter, but so will turning the key with the truck started and clutch in. All this system does id make separate switches for the ignition cylinder and bypasses the chip

but for an automatic, if you push the start button again, would it be like you're double cranking and grind it?

thanks for your quick and helpful responses, this mod is nearing the top of my mod list

nope, the crank comes from the second button (ie my lexus button on my set up)

the first button for the "ON" will just send power through the button making it seem that the key is still in ignition so when you remove the actual key, it will still stay on...so if this happens while driving, u can flip the switch and nothing will happen (unless u push the 2nd button whiile on....then youll crank it again

Quick question, don't know if its been answered already but here it is. Can you turn off the truck by pushing the button or do you have to turn it off using the key?
