This is like watching science fiction. Exciting and terrifying all at the same time.

Years ago I rigged up a skilsaw blade on a weedeater. It cut like a banshee and I did not die.
Then I found out what a bush hog on a tractor would do.

Nothing sketchy. I have an Echo SRM-410U. Works great. Cutting sagebrush kills the blade though (dulls it quick and gums it up). But, that is running the brush blade that it came with. I will probably put a better blade on it if needed (have a tractor now).

I can cut some of it with my tow brushhog but it will slide off to the side of the 3" stuff. Gonna cut the thick stuff with the Stihl then hit it with the hog.

I bought a Stihl saw blade for my FS110 when I got weedeater. It does good too.

I have no doubt that beast would mow a path thru hell. I have need of a 30+hp tractor but am limited due to funds. I've been getting by with my little Cub GT I fabbed a front loader for using a Swisher ATV bucket. Added all the hydraulics to it and fabbed the hitch.

    He's just a little feller. Mmm...hmmm. 20200312_182504.jpg

Just so you know, I borrowed the equipment. Great to have good neighbors, and he helped me replace the friction clutch discs. It was a pita.

I like that idea. 9" says it is good for the 30-40cc range. I might just have to get one.

I can relate yard work is limited to things blocking garage doors or the driveway

Burning my brushpiles today. Hit a few 20ft tall 6" trees with the red blade today. They will cut thru great if you cut them at an uphill angle on the backside of the way they lean. Cut opens up as you cut thru.

Only the dead have no fear of a weed whacker with a sawblade mounted and no guard.
