Your arms look thicker than the sapling, should be able to snap it up bare handed

I have a Stihl 130 w/handle bars & harness. Thanks for heads up on the blue blade :spending:

I worked in a Christmas tree farm from ages 13-18, and this is how we'd harvest the trees in the fall. Usually takes 5 people: 1st one flags the tree, 2nd person props up the bottom limbs with a long stick, 3rd person uses the weed whacker with saw blade to cut the tree, and 4th & 5th people drag the trees out to the roadway. Theres a whole separate team bailing, then another for loading the flatbed.

Those sawblades will zip through a 8 foot tree in about a second or two. We could harvest hundreds of trees in one weekend.

I hoped the videos gave a good idea of how effortlessly this thing cuts. I'm still amazed with it every time I've used it and I probably have cut hundreds of saplings with it.

I did have some carbide teeth come off the blade but it still cut fair and as much as I cut with it I feel like I got my money's worth.

Ordered a 9" blue blade for the next go round but haven't mounted it. The 9" doesn't have holes in it like the 8".

That is badass! Infinitely more safe than a chainsaw. It’s at the end of a long ass pole!

I can’t believe how fast that cuts!

Sumac. Once you cut it, game over for the plant? Or does the root still send up shoots?

Yeah my Sumac grove has a huge network of roots. I thought about drilling some of the bigger roots and pouring brushkiller in it. It will stay down if you keep it mowed regularly.

The scariest part of this thread is a plant that’s difficult to eradicate.

Definitely the easiest way to deal with it unless you want to do some digging. I get it a garlon mix from work that kills about anything
