Put diesel in my Taco

By mistake I put about 3 gallons of diesel in my Taco fuel tank, which it was half full. What should I do?

 

Drain, purge, fill, drive.

 

Drain it, drop the tank clean it

 

How did you get the nozzle in?

 

Siphon it out? lol idk but how did you mix it up? there is a black pump and a green pump!

 

Have you ran the vehicle?

 

Oh No! Hopefully you don't drain the trans fluid and fill it with coolant lol.

Lots of people make this mistake. Tow it to a dealer and blame your wife. Do not start it again.

Diesel in a gas truck even with direct injection isn't the end of the world.

I usually drain the tank, put fresh gas in, replace plugs and oil, then fuel flush, bam, done.

EDIT: Im a tech and work on idiots cars, I am not the culprit!

 

3 galons outta 18 is no real big deal. Its gonna smoke for a while

 

Tank should have drain bolt, I assume

 

Just fill it up with 91 the rest of the way and run. Hell it has a warranty. Run it

If you didn't even start It, then simply drain the tank, clean and refill it.

If it was mine id fill it up the rest of the way with gas and drive it home. Kill all the misquitos on the way.
