It probably would have been fine if you started it and drove it a little, just as long as there was gasoline in the tank still.

At least according to this video - Relevant Part at 2:10

If you turned on the truck and allowed the fuel pump to purge and circulate through the system, then you'd be screwed to some extent. Luckily (I'm hoping) you didn't start the truck and nothing circulated through the system. In that case all you'd have to do is drop the gas tank, clean it out thoroughly, and fill it back up with gas. If you want to be extra safe I would change out the fuel pump assembly.

Direct injection or port doesnt matter, the injector's sprayers are not designed for diesel not to mention the fuel pump, diesel is much thicker.

    True dat

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
This is one of my biggest fears. The Tacoma is the first gas truck that I have owned in the past fifteen years, all the others were diesels. I still drive my F250 with a diesel on a regular basis so I make dang sure I know what handle I'm garbing at the pump.

Still can't understand how the heck you got a diesel pump nozzle to fit the hole :notsure:
The other way around gas into a diesel tank that happens a lot ...
