Put diesel in my Taco

Never been to an all in one pump? I fill at a spot every time that has diesel reg/mid/sup... Just hit the button.

I was expecting a diesel swap. So disappointed.

 

I've never seen a station that uses the same handle, I have seen the green handle beside the black gas handle before though. I did stop at a station in NJ once (where you can't pump your own gas) and both were black. Odd thing about NJ is apparently you are allowed to pump diesel.

Did you use a funnel to put the big nozzle into the tiny hole??

 

By all means... Add some more diesel to the tank.

 

How did you get the nozzle into the fill hole? Diesel nozzle are bigger on purpose to prevent this.

 

Popular misconception, nozzle is same size.thank vw.

All diesel pumps do NOT have green handles. Some have yellow and some have black. There is no standardized code for fuel. It takes common sense and reading the pump. Normally the diesel spouts are larger but some are not, having a VW TDI, you learn these things before you pump if you are ignorant of labels.

 

OP has admitted to to drinking while fueling, so there's that.

 

Just looked it up. The pumps that big rigs use are bigger but only to make filling up faster

 

Toyota won't cover it they will do a fuel sample and find that it is diesel. Call insurance they will take care of it

 

There are diesel pumps for cars with larger spouts, most of them are at reputable places. The larger spouts for semis are as you noted, for filling up faster since they have larger fuel tanks. Fuel stations are not required to have a specific size but normally do so to accommodate customers.

 

I wouldn't tell them I had a few though, just saying.

Ain't no misconception about it. It's a physical fact where I come from. If you have ever driven a diesel, you'd know that.

 

I tow for 3a.we tow a lot of diesel in gas cars.I towed one lady 3 times in 5 weeks for doing that. $1500.00 a pop at Honda dealer.husband took her car away the last time.
