Picked up my TRD Pro a couple weeks ago. So far I’m extremely pleased with the truck. I absolutely love everything about it.

The first thing that I needed was a tonneau for an upcoming trip. Ideally a hard tri-fold cover. After doing a bit of research I landed on the Rugged cover. Ease of installation, and not having to modify the bed rails made it the winner for me. After installing it today, I’m happy with the choice. Took all of 15 minutes to put on.

Looks great. Cost? I have the OEM but am not crazy about it.

Did you get the E series or the Premium? As soon as my truck arrives I need to get one. I like the Rugged E series a lot. About $710 I have seen online. But, I am really curious about how well it holds out water and reports from owners. I understand they all basically leak a little.

Thanks, much appreciated! Next up is tires and some real sliders. I have to get these steps off of here asap lol.

Thanks! I believe it was $710 shipped from Amazon.
My understanding is that they all leak a bit as well. I did get a tailgate seal to hopefully prevent leaking and put a few beads of silicone around areas that may have seemed questionable. Since it only went on earlier today I can’t comment on its ability to keep rain out. I’ll certianly update when I find out though. I ordered the E-Series from amazon for $710. The fit, quality, and finish were all good. From my limited time with it, I’d recommend.

When mine finally gets here, That’s the first thing I’m replacing too is the “ chrome “ steps... ugh. I have sliders on order already.

I got mine on Ebay for $660 delivered no tax. Small gaps in the front but I haven't noticed any leaks.

I have both the E-Series and Premium. Both leak a little in the rain but not enough to worry about specially if you have a bed mat and have things that you want to keep dry in plastic bins.

Is there any significant reason to buy the Premium over the E-Series? I think it is a $95 upcharge which I believe includes LEDs? I appreciate the feedback on leaks.

I don't think the up-charge is worth the difference. The Premium does seem to have burlier rail inserts (and it also has more grub screws to secure the rail inserts from moving) and the safety tether is nice. However, the LED is not really helpful since I already have LED lighting installed in the bed.
