Any other KTM Duke riders out there? I just picked this guy up the other night. '20 Duke 200. 15 miles in and I'm in love! It's my second KTM, but first sport bike. The ergonomics are better then I was expecting them to be. Only changes I'm planning for right now are to get rid of the that rear fender (I have a Tidy Tail for it sitting on my bench) and to get through it's 600 mile break-in so I can really start riding it!

The requisite shot in front of my closed garage door.

The typical shot in front of the dealership. Sort of tradition to bring my bikes home in my T100, plus not many bikes fit (tailgate closed) in the back of my Taco.

Congrats on the purchase, those 200's just hit the market if i recall? A coworker picked up the new 390 a few months back, great looking bike and i love the TFT display. Even with 25ish? HP i bet you can rail that thing into the turns.

Thank you! Yes the 200's are brand-new in the states as of last fall, however the owner of the dealer where I bought mine says they don't seem to be selling as well as KTM expected so time will tell if they stick around. I'm also a fan of the TFT display, though if I'm honest it sits a bit below my sight line and the Tach is hard for me to read at-speed, however it has a programmable shift light which is nice. I'm still in the break-in period so no corner railing yet, however that will happen soon. I live 20 minutes from Silverado Canyon in OC so I'm looking-forward to playing with it out there soon!

I love it! Those look like an incredible bike!! My other KTM is a 990 Adventure, however my new Duke seems to be the only bike I want to ride these days! Good on you for getting-out and doing some riding on what looks like a very cold day!

Looks great! The dealer where I bought my Duke (OCKTM) had(s) that same bike up for sale when I was there about a month ago! I think they were only asking about $1K more than I paid for my Duke, however the bike looked like it had led a hard life. There is certainly something intoxicating about the LC8 engine!

I'm honestly lucky I didn't have this bike when I was younger or I almost certainly wouldn't be here.
They are making so many smaller street-legal bikes now I've been lusting after the 390 Adv.

I know what you mean! I considered buying a 390 Adventure for some dual-sport riding I generally do in the summer, however it felt heavy to me, plus I worry about smashing that exposed exhaust when I fall-over. It's still on my 'maybe' list though

Looks great! I like the early KTM's as they are a lot more under-stated then the newer ones/ I'm sure you'll be able to sell it in no time!

I'm at a whopping 120 miles on my Duke. I hurt my left hand a while ago so working a clutch for more than 10 miles really hurts. I will say though the more I ride this bike, the more I like it! It's almost intuitive!

Yeah I love this bike but it just sits. I’d rather sell it and feed my new addiction with a lift for the Taco:benchpress:

That's the cleanest, early KTM I've seen in a long time. I'm glad you don't live closer to me!

The original owner worked for Motul so it was very well taken care of when I got it 10 or so years ago.

Bought a BMW S1000r that I'll be doing most of riding on this year, but I still have and love my 790 duke.

I did too! Its so damn comfortable, had the RR's for 6 years and figured the naked R would be ideal for commuting being naked and more upright, after riding one at a demo day was sold. However with the new 2022 one coming out, hunted down a deal for a leftover 2018 with a year of warranty left and 2900 miles. Been a good bike so far...and to keep this on topic, rode to work on my uncomfortable gsxr 600 today and parked next to my coworkers Duke 390 he bought last year as a first bike.
