there will be a banner across the two stars reading "carpe diem". with the original meaning of a nautical star meaning to point in the right path for the future or way home, and adding the meaning of carpe diem, meaning to seize the day, to me it means a lot.

Two of my favorite. The one of my half sleeve is a crappy camera phone pic. Don’t have any good ones of it. The other one is on the front of my shin.

    Thanks!!!!

The hammer tattoo is just something I really wanted. I wanted a new tattoo in the American Traditional style, and I knew that I wanted the roses to frame something. Most people try to get the flowers to frame something really special or serious, but that's not that much fun. I thought a hammer would be really sweet, funny, and work well with the rest of it. I am a carpenter, but that is not the sole reason I got the hammer. Contrary to popular belief, you can get a tattoo just because you really like the way it looks. It is your body, and every tattoo does not have to have some special meaning. I have a few serious tattoos, and they are always serious tattoos when I look at them. My hammer tattoo makes me laugh when I look at it and I am soooo happy with it. It's fun! The triangle was something I asked my artist to throw in last minute to balance out the tattoo geometrically. I think it worked well.
