The airplane might but not with a Russian pilot on board. They fly very little...but I still doubt his claims. The F22 has some capes that are not public information.

Yeah I read this off of the drudge report, it seems like every time we come out with something new, it looks as if the Russians copied our design bolt by bolt off of the blue prints for their new plane.
Just like the B-29 after the war and other jets down the line.
But the US did copy from German designs after the war too.

Putin is doing nothing more than blowing hot air. This would be comparable to making a comparison between apples and oranges. The bottom line is that there is very, very few of us with the privileged information behind our F-22. You will not learn much by asking our soldiers what their opinion is of the T-50 and F-22 comparison, because very few have the information at hand to provide any sort of accurate comparison.

Having owned a russian airplane at one time, they are very well built and stupid simple...they just make sense. The US on the other hand has to complicate shit because we are just that way.

A friend of mine flew MiG-21's in the FSU. He said they developed a technique that would have given them a marginal BVR advantage over an F-16. Once they got to the merge, it would be all over. Against airplanes with better radars, they clearly struggled.

The Russians make some cool shit and some awesome fighters..and they have a for a very long time. If you have a spare 4 or 5 million laying around, pick this little beauty up!

That thing is like a European car, the cheapest part is buying it, feeding and maintaining it is a whole other story. But DAMN that is one sexy airplane!!!

You were in a 4G inverted dive with a MiG 28?

    Which plane did you have?

I basically learned to fly in a YAK-11 which a friend of the family owned. Super -easy to figure out and fly.

I was in a 6G turn with a Yak not gaining any advantage, unloaded the wings, rolled wings level, pulled a solid 5G's into the vertical with a 90 degree turn near the top, let her slow, inverted bunt over the top, pulled to the 45, rolled wings level, accelerated, and saddled up behind him....."fox four on the dark Yak"..followed by a "knock it off" call.

B29, C130, C5A, Valkyrie, Concorde, and now the '22. Interesting. Like they don't have the capability of independent development- but that was disproven with the Su27 and variants. Paraphrasing Tom Clancy, though: "They sure do make 'em pretty".

That is, in my opinion, the most gorgeous aircraft ever built. And here it's Father's Day weekend coming up. Hm.

Another thing the Ruskies make extremely well is their ejector seats. I don't want to speculate about what that says about their aircraft philosophy, but they're very well-deigned, reliable and indestructible.

Since we decided not to actually build any operational F-22s I'd say Putin iis right.

Your post is spot on in my opinion, that's one thing that Russian aircraft had that could be better. One is which I'm sure you're aware of too is ease of maintenance and maintenance in the field, and the aircraft virtually cost nothing to replace Vs most American aircraft.
