I wasn't necessarily meaning you individually , that was poorly worded on my part , I meant how can those suggesting that the reason Putin invaded Crimea was the perception that the POTUS was weak , and I agree that past behaviour generally dictates future behaviour , along the same lines as Saddam Hussein using chemical weapons in the Iran / Iraq War and then again on the Kurds later

 

Too bad it was the Kuwaities who invaded iraqi land first. Saddam just really went about getting his land back the wrong way.

Ok, wasn't land per se. It was oil reserves that belonged to iraq. Kuwait was drilling at an angle to get into the reserves.

 

...there's been a series of blunders made w.r.t. russia specifically, ...(the "reset button", START, the "hot mic" w/ medviedev, ...snowden, ...the haphazard handling and turn of events toward syra, ...etc.)... an old KGB guy like putin is likely pretty adept at sizing up the other guy... and so as we are seeing, he's put things in motion and is not backing down

Yes, you're right. Clearly in the list I provided, a guy stubbing his little toe isn't Obama's fault. Unless of course Obama pushed him into the chair or vice versa.

You are not wrong about perceiving people blaming obama for anything and everything. I notice it, too.
I am republican and think obama has not done a fantastic job as president, but, I dont blame him for what other world leaders do.
Saying putin went into crimea because he did not fear obama is false logic. Putin gonna do what putin gonna do.
Why don't we blame Bush Jr for 9/11? That happened on his watch and it happened in our own country. Let's blame Roosevelt for the pearl harbor attack while we follow that logic.

I understand that aspect of saying obama does not invoke fear in the hearts of our enemies, but, which recent president has?
Truman is the only one that comes to mind, for me.
I wonder if it's time for us to decimate another country, in order for others to fear us again?

 

This, we need a President that loves America for it's freedom and a President that has balls, ones like Reagan, Roosevelt, and Kennedy.
