OK so I finally got my RekGen flaps and they are gonna look super cool and it looks
like a pizza-cake to install except this highlighted piece here it isn't a bolt ..
and the video I watched didn't advise to remove it is it possible the guy just bolted
into this or was that piece somehow removed. It seems to be a snap-in piece otherwise
I assume (??) it has to be removed?

Pretty sure that’s where the stock flaps would bolt to. Since mine didn’t come with them, I also did not have a bolt already installed but had a few spares lying around.

No, you install your rekgens hardware into that mount, its just a place to put a screw, try not to over tighten as the screw will just spin in it.

Whoa ok yea so it's just a 'piece' that you thread 'into'... looked prime for removal first but no, I stuck a small nail into it and yea so I'll just thread it in. Now if I can find a damn ratchet to fit the 3/8 socket .. I think my kid stole part of my set.. well good for him.

The bolt screws into that plastic piece, so leave it in place.

Thanks yea ok that makes sense - this wasn't mentioned in the otherwise good video of the install, and of course
that piece is not very visible ie: you can't stick your head in there and have a look-see.
