    I completely switched the charcoal interior from my 2001 DC for the oak interior on my keeper 2003. I don't recall that piece! I gotta check my images -- maybe something like the airbag mount or something.

    Here's a nearly complete disassembled image of my instrument panel. I don't see anything like that bracket you're questioning. Lemme check some more...

    Nope. I don't have a bracket that looks like that in any of the interior I got into. But I didn't take out the AC evaporator. Did you get in that deep, @xitsjacob? Maybe it's due to a difference between Gen 1 and Gen 1.5 trucks, too.

    Clock Volt meter/LSPV Delete/Hyundai 16’s/FP gauge/after 9months of wrenching ZERO oil leaks
    IMO
    Bc of that clip on one end of the bracket, it slips into place
    Most likely a protective steel cover of some kind. Possibly to prevent passenger’s feet from hitting something?
