Putting the Jack under the Rear Diff

    Is it safe to jack the rear up under the diff so I can slide the jackstands under the axles at one time?

    as long as you are using a large footed floor jack, that it not a problem.

    That's fine. I use a large 4 wheel jack all the time to boost it up by the diff. Just make sure you're on level ground of course.
