67767764-ED98-43C1-91E5-C9A3805F436F.jpg Hey guys, I bought my Tacoma a little over a year ago and love it. I have made a few modifications like a winch bumper and skid plate to get me places away from other people for fishing and hunting. I’m currently building a sleeping platform with storage under for my dog and I. Follow along on my trip.

p.s. this is my first post so be nice if I posted in the wrong place.

    Welcome.

I'm sending you a PM about the PVC platform. I had one in my long bed that you can probably modify.

I purchased most of the fittings from Amazon. I ended up with a few random extra fittings and realized I could use them to extend the “platform” higher with PVC ( or ABS like I used.) I was originally planning on getting a camper shell but until that happens I may put 4 PVC pipes up and into a frame for a tarp.

That is exactly what I did. My truck is a short bed so it took some modifications but it seems to be working well so far. Thanks!

Just buy a military cot, wack the legs of 6 “ and done. You end up with a collapsible bed that’s easily stored when not needed. Bam!

Would that work with a 5’ bed? I have to sleep at an angle in the bed to be comfortable.

Tried that before, the cot was barely on the tailgate and it was too tall. (Had a softopper at the time).
