I'll have to say they fog lights are not as bright as the stock ones but I don't mind that, I just want that color light to match the headlights

Temporarily installed a CB for this trip. Decided im going to keep it and permanently install it for future wheeling trips! It worked like a champ...only issue with this trail was the tree cover kept catching the antenna and knocking it down. I'll be purchasing a better antenna for it and doing a fixed mount in the corner of the bed or something.

Oh yeah! I've been up there tons of times but never been down the trail to the house...it was a pretty rough trail with briar patches and trees that required my chainsaw, ... but it was awesome!

great times. Good to see you enjoying the truck. I followed your other build, made the same mistake buying prerunner before I knew I'd want to hit the dirt. Got a great deal on mine and it's just not a good time to take on a fat payment so I'm making do with what I have and enjoying it. Trying to fight the urge to swap it out with 4x4 or spend a bunch of cash on armor on a prerunner LOL. Got kids and one income so just holding off and enjoying your builds hahaha

Haha awesome man I appreciate the sub. I honestly got a really good deal on my truck...paid $30k for my 15 PreRunner last August, kept it a year and put 20k miles on it and they gave me 29,500 for it haha. I couldn't resist. I only went up there to get a service on my truck and ended up leaving with the TRDOR.

My build is gonna be slow, I have a 1 year old and I'm about to take a big pay cut to go do highway patrol. But I plan on keeping it for a long time so I'm not in a big hurry! Lol

Haha I understand what you mean lol. If we didn't have my wife's income in addition to mine...i never would have even got the first Tacoma. lol everyone always asks me...why would you pay 30+k for a mid sized truck?? I just smile and say...when your ford/Chevy hit the junk yard...my Taco will just be broke in lol.

Loving the soft topper on your truck @lashingbar. I would love one for mine also but I think I'm gonna go the RTT route.

yah I was on the fence cuz of rtt but honestly I made the right choice for my needs. Nap under it with the sides rolled up every day during lunch breaks and sleep back there on camping trips. Keeps my stuff dry and hidden. Comes off in about a minute. Looks badass. Just all depends on your needs. If I decide I need a RTT I'll get a roof rack like front runner or prinsu to go on the cab. If you change your mind, the group buy going on here right now is your ticket LOL

Unfortunately not yet, I saw a short write up on one of the threads on here. A guy installed this on his 2nd gen in the plate bumper and wired it into the computer with a switch to turn the camera on and switch from front to rear. It was an awesome setup.

Here is the thread he wrote up...
