I’m hoping I don’t have any clearance issues. Also on stock suspension.

    Nice! Upload pictures!

I know I’ve been quiet lately but I’ve been really busy with the truck I promise... Here’s a preview of some updates I’ve done / in-work. Hopefully I’ll have some time to wash the truck and take some good photos in the next week or so:
    • BHLM headlights, Xenon Depot Xtreme LED high beams, LED turn signals
    • Removed Thule Xsporter Pro bed rack, OEM bed mat, OEM cargo net
    • ARE V color-matched topper with tilt-down front sliding window, battery LED dome light, fabric headliner, Black Vantech J1000 rack
    • Custom sliding steel bed drawers and stained maple wood bed platform
    • Baja Designs squadron sport amber wide cornering fog lights with bezels
    • Swapped my hidden 32” 180W LED light bar for a blacked out 240W one

DUUUUUUUUUDE those are some major changes!!!!!! Can't wait to see some pictures. What'd you do with your old fog's? I've been thinking of getting Lamin-x for mine, but would kind of rather just have an extra set to swap out.

Excited to see you busy again. This truck was my motivation and outline when I was adding and removing things to mine. If you could, post links to the sites you purchase these mods from. I have been thinking about converting my headlights to LED just dont know a trusted quality brand. Thanks!

I know... I have a problem haha. All that I have left is to finish staining the wood for the platform I built for the bed on top of the drawers and then it’s all done! I’ll be selling the OEM fog lights with lamin-x along with a few other things (OEM bed mat, OEM cargo net, LED H11 bulbs that can be used for low beams, high beams, or fog lights).

I’m out of town for some family stuff but hopefully I’ll have some time next weekend to give her a bath and take some good photos!

I appreciate that! Let’s see some pics of your truck! Once I post pictures, let me know what you’re interested in and I’m happy to provide more info. It looks like I’m spewing cash but I’m actually pretty cheap haha. Most of those mods are Craigslist finds. I found a guy who wanted OEMassive headlights and had professionally done BHLM headlights so we swapped his for my stock ones and cash. I found the topper on Craigslist as well (my color and everything). Lurking all the for sale sites paid off. I have two sets of the LEDs that came with the BHLM lights and I still use the HIDs I put in for low beams so don’t need the second set. They’ll be for sale along with some other stuff in a week or so when I get a chance to posting it all.

Sub'd. This will be the model for my build going forward. Don't worry, we live 1300 miles away so you won't bump into your twin! Great job bro. Awesome thread.

Hey Paul, do you have any tricks/tips when installing the bed decal? How/where did you measure to make sure it was straight? I was thinking of putting on some masking tape at the top of the T and bottom of the 4 to serve as landmarks to get it exactly where they other one was.

First, use some blue painters tape to tape off the perimeter so you have a guide to install the new one.

Second, warm it up to help the removal. I used a blow dryer for a minute or two. I didn't want to use my heat gun since I figured that would be too hot and could damage the paint.

Third, start a corner and pull back almost flat to the truck. It should come off pretty easily.

Fourth, use some WD-40 to removal any residue if there is any. Follow that with some kind of cleaner to remove the WD-40, I used some instant detailer followed by a little water and then dried the area well. You want to make sure you have a really clean surface. Any particles of anything will cause the new decal to have bubbles.

Fifth, slowly remove the decal and transfer tape. Apply it starting with a corner and go slowly. Use a credit card to smooth it out over the transfer tape to get any bubbles out. And then remove the transfer tape. Don't be alarmed if there are little micro bubbles. After a week or so the sun will force those out and it should look better.

Sounds painful but should take 30 minutes or less. Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thabks! I really appreciate it!

Thinking about adding some LED rock lights and reverse lights! I've figured out what to buy and already have all of the electrical supplies (connectors, wire, wire loom, tools, etc).

I am having a little trouble figuring out how to make them come on when I unlock the truck and put the truck in reverse, in addition to the switches in the dash. If anyone has any suggestions, I appreciate it! I made the post below in the lighting section.

Pictures coming soon from all of the other recent mods!

This is excellent. Than you. Question: how much does the light bar make a difference on back roads with no street lights? It is hard to tell from video and pics. Is it best used with fogs/low beams or highs?

It makes a world of difference. You definitely cannot use it with other cars in the opposing direction but on back roads with no lights, it lights it up completely. With the combination of the spot and flood light patterns in most light bars, it spreads light further, higher, and wider than high beams. It's really helpful in my opinion. And this is just with the super cheap light bars that I've used from Amazon. I can't imagine the quantity of light from the real high-quality light bars (Baja Designs, Rigid, etc).

What light bar did you end up going with? Why did you decide to swap out the mictuning one? Do you feel it wasnt bright enough?
