You can hit a pothole in the road and truck get's knocked out of alignment. I've had (6) this year. :D

I usually paint the cams after the alignment, so I know if they move or not.

I think 50-60K miles for factory shocks.

Maybe the person that did your 3 alignments didnt do it right? Once a tire starts to wear there is no stopping it

One hears all sorts of strange things .

They might of been thinking more of just changing struts .

The whole remove the whole assembly using a strut compressor change out the strut other worn parts as needed then reinstall.

    Why the dealer who knows.

As to front end alignment it depends on so many factors .

Hit one good pot hole enough to move something .

Myself I get around 4 a year about 8000 miles or so.

At $50,00 per alignment if it saves two tires they pay for itself .

Most alignment shops will bring worn parts to your attention

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
    1. I paid for a lifetime alignment at Firestone Tire Stores (nationwide). Cost $30 more than a 1-time alignment. It's a great deal. I take full advantage. Sure, they do a terrible job aligning it and don't have the best equipment. But I bang on my truck a LOT. So, I'm in need of alignments about every 6 months. Has saved me a few thousand dollars so far. It's lifetime, I drive an 07 and its a Toyota, they're so screwed in this deal :)

    2. Changing shocks, struts, leafs are a simple DIY job and if you don't want to get your hands dirty any any shop can do it. If you change it out try something aftermarket like a Bilstein setup with OME springs. Will cost very little and can get anyone to pop it on for you (you'll need an alignment afterwards).
