After mine was built, it got pulled and ended up being held for about 6 LONG weeks!

I’m waiting on a TRD Off Road that was built in September that’s being held for a QC check too. I’m hoping it will start moving sooner rather than later.

    Good news,
I received an update and my truck is no longer on hold. It shows a delivery date to the dealer by 11-13-23. Hopefully they are all on the move.

Dealer just told me mine will show up this week. A month and a week delay for those curious!

I found out why but I can't share it, basically they have to intercept the tacomas prior to sale or they have to introduce a model wide recall.

It wasn't a major deal and all of them were intercepted.

I personally feel its related to the retooling phase and end of production procedures. But thankfully Toyota still catches these things.

We had one were only 3 sequoias (years ago) were affected and it nearly got sold, would have cost toyota hundreds of thousands but they caught it in time.

It's frustrating, but its one of the best companies for quality control.

I hope you get your truck soon. My arrival date has been pushed out 2 times. The truck is in Denver and in cue to be delivered to the dealership.
Hopefully this week, but who knows. It will be sweet to get the call that they have it.

I ended up asking for my deposit back and getting a TRD Off Road Premium in Lunar Rock that was basically new.

Same as flatiron, an Off-Road Premium that was virtually new showed up and I jumped on it. No regrets. Saved some money on the deal too.

Truck I was waiting for is still in QC, I think, after 6 weeks.

Just picked up my truck today! Definitely a pain but can say it was so worth it. Makes the deal even sweeter when you get more $$ off because of the wait

I finally picked up my truck yesterday!!!! A little over three weeks after it was taken off of QC hold. I was questioning different colors that were in stock, but decided to wait for the MGM, I am glad I did. I have to agree the wait was worth it, tedious at times, but worth it.

congrats!!! I did the same thing - insisting I wouldn’t change my color choice (MGM) although at one point, and waiting for what seemed like forever, I almost changed - glad I waited.

Can you elaborate on the "straight hood" part of your comment? I haven't been on the forums for a bit. Is this a thing? I noticed my hood on my brand new 2018 was not centered. I asked Toyota corporate to take care of it and they basically blew me off. I adjusted the bump stops so it wasn't as noticeable but seeing your comment has me curious if this is a more widespread thing.

I know Ford does this randomly, maybe 5% of new Ford vehicles delivered to my dealership arrive somewhat delayed with a sticker that says something like "this vehicle has been randomly selected for a quality control check by Ford and as such may now have up to 75 miles on the odometer"

Hi. I'm new to the forum.

I see most of you got your truck or a different one. Mine has been on QC hold since 10/12. The original delivery estimate was 11/27, then it moved up. Now past the original delivery estimate. I feel like I'm so close.

In contrast, it's been 16 months since my original Ford Maverick order. Build scheduled 11/13 but delayed.

Still expecting Tacoma to show up first.

It's painful to have to wait for the dealer to get the truck. They pushed out my original date, after the QC hold, 3 times. Then you get the phone call, and all of that anxiety goes away. The wait is worth it, I am so happy with my truck, it is a joy to drive.

I hope your wait is short. Enjoy the truck when it comes.
