Th Qi charger is pointless for me and I’m looking to delete it. Who has done it?
I found the attached part diagram on another thread, but when I searched the part number online the diagram shows something different.

Why don't you just not use it?

It looks like the piece without the charger might have a bit more depth to it, and I’d like to use the switch space for something else.
I figure I might as well change it all out when I’m moving switches around.

My personal phone is iPhone 11, work phone is iPhone 14plus. the OEM Qi charger doesn't work on my 14. I may do this if I get rid of my personal phone or upgrade to a newer one.

The charger will work on my 14 only if it’s not in a case. Even though it’s in a wireless charging case.

I left the charger unit in place and just removed the switch (gave it away to another TW member). I used the spot to add another switch.

I took out my switch and never use it. Would be curious if this actually provides more space and depth

I don’t think it is too much more space, but I’ve never actually seen a truck without Qi in person to know for sure.

    I swapped.

When you buy the front console half (which is what you have pictured), it comes with the tray and the front console half. I bought one from an SR automatic because they are way more common than SR manuals. You only need the tray, you don't need the console half unless yours is beat up and you want to replace. Since I bought the auto version, I couldn't use the console half anyways so I chunked it in the trash immediately once I removed the tray from it.

The non-charger tray is both better and worse than the charger version. My charger one was bubbled really badly in the middle and so nothing would sit nicely there. The non-charger version is deeper but angled so it provides more secure storage but probably less overall usable storage. I like that it's more like a bin instead of a flat spot, so I can empty my pockets for road trips and throw it all down in there. I have 0 regrets with my swap.

I swapped the tray and then later removed the switch and zip tied away the plug to the harness so that it wouldn't rattle around.

Thanks guys. That looks like a worthwhile swap for those of us not using the charger. I looked up the part number and it appears that includes the entire console and the cubby I have an MT so I guess I can swap in the cubby and toss the new console ? Or should I try to find a VIN for a MT without Qi (pre-2018??))

would be great to just buy the cubby!

Don’t worry about finding the 16-17 MT version, I have a 6MT and I bought the 4 cyl AT version. Yes, just throw out the front console half you receive or donate to a friend. Or sell if you really think someone will buy it. The cubby bolts in the same no matter what front console you have.

How much effort does it take to remove and swap out the charger? Seems easy enough but you never know.

Not hard at all. Remove shift knob and pull up console finisher, empty console and remove two bolts at bottom under the felt pad, undo the screws on the front console half and unplug the charger, then remove the front console half, remove the charger and then swap the tray in its place and reinstall. Like 10-15 minutes for me since I’ve been in there a lot, for someone new to working on the console maybe 25-30 min.
