Anyone here in the Cape Canaveral area? Will be flying there for a week in Feb. thinking about shipping my drone out and flying it around. I know, the cape is a no fly zone but plenty of places to see. Would like to met up with a fellow droner and do some flying.

And right beside a highway! What kind of idiot would fly there? Hand eye co-ordination is something, but a radio mishap or finger fumble and you could cause a major crash on the highway. Think he'd stick around to help or would he just bugger off?

Rc flyer, club member, watching and waiting while the unregulated "drone" crowd to fubar my hobby.

Yeah I certainly don't agree with his choice of flying areas. That said it was around 2am IIRC and no traffic. I'm not defending his spot but there wasn't any traffic to speak of.

I have another question guys, my parents have some acerage that they want to put a house and shop on.
Is it possible to map it out with the Phantom 3 my Dad has (using something like maps made easy) and insert the house that they want to build (They have the floorplans) to see where they want to place the house?

Hey guys! We have a Phantom III Advanced here at the office and I was wondering about video stability. There is very apparent shaking when I record video and sometimes we get the "jello" effect. Do you guys have any recommendations on fixing this problem? I see crystal clear solid non-shaking video all the time on you tube and various other sites. It takes really great pictures though. It came equipped with the 2.7K video camera and 3axis stabilization gimbal. Thanks!

Hope this helps :) Mine runs off a different 3 axis gimbal system so I haven't encountered that problem yet. But I have seen videos on youtube that have just what you describe.

I appreciate it. It would have also helped to have removed the little small piece of foam between the body and the gimbal. :anonymous:
I'm going to fly it here in a few and see if this solves it.

@RearViewMirror yep that piece of foam was it. Still have the Jello effect but I haven't tampered with camera settings yet. Thanks again for the video. Big help!

Ordered up a p3p for myself.... a couple days later one shows up at the office.
I was wondering how in the hell it showed up so fast. Turns out another department had ordered one. They have no idea how it works or how to use it so they want me to fly it.

    I don't know either, but I didn't tell them that :D
