Yeah, I wasn't watching the screen, but watching it from the ground, looking up. Plus......the dog was a fast runner. Julie suggested I try to track a slower dog.

I don't know about the P3 but you should be able to set the pan / tilt sensitivity to slower. I'm got mine set where I can't make fast movements up or down. It came from the factory set pretty sensitive so I slowed it down and now when I hit the "scroll wheel" it moves nice and slow. Makes for a nice shot if you are wanting to frame something while flying backwards or forwards.

With the P3 (if you're wanting to make good videos) you'll need to fly it slow and methodically to keep the rotors out of the frame (or crop them out in post processing). Eventually you'll find yourself looking at the screen more than the craft. I fly a "hybrid" approach. Looking at the craft and screen. My method is to always scout out where I'm going to put it in the air and what I want to accomplish long before ever putting it in the air. But... I've got a shit ton of money invested in mine. I've got a long pre-flight checklist I go over before putting it up. Make multiple passes over what you want to get a shot of (so you can pick the best one in post processing) then put it back down and move on to the next shot. That's just "my" method.

Its registered, and I had everyone's permission in the video. Before flying, I walked the park, and asked. A few of the adults wanted me to take pics of their kids, and email them. It was pretty fun. I have another video that I'm uploading now.

Oops......I was talking about the video I'm currently uploading. My neighbors gave me permission too. They were outside talking to me about it, and we started talking about a "Dogs Eye" view. They went inside their patio, then came out as I flew by. I thought it turned out kinda cool

Worried is the proper adjective. I'm truly expecting something to be on fire somewhere

Don't act confused... Something is going to be on fire or it's going to land in my backyard. You still owe me for shipping on your gate spring fucker.

I have wanted (and tried) to catch a storm/lightening. I'm never at home when a good storm comes in. The times I've attempted it, the rain came too early or very high winds.

Well this wasn't a very big storm so I had to quick edit a lot of it out. But at least there was some lightning this time.

Very cool! BTW, I decided to try the update myself, figuring that if I brick it, or whatever the quadcopter folks call it, I'd just take it in. It was surprisingly easy. Took about 10-15 mins. Its gonna be too hot to fly here, next weekend, so I might not get much flying time in.

Whats a decent tablet that fits the Phantom 3 remote? I might get one, instead of using my phone.
