Just picked up a DJI Phantom 3 standard on black Friday for cheap money. Can't wait to use and get used to it. Just have to wait for "Santa" to leave it for me for Christmas (you guys with kids will understand). Lol

Pfft... My daughter just has to deal with me getting my "presents" that show up from Amazon almost on a daily basis lol. That said, she has so many Amazon boxes in my closet just waiting to be wrapped. As far as she knows they are boxes that I've already opened. My wife and I don't even exchange presents anymore. She orders what she wants and I order what I want and neither of us know what to get each other lol. My poor postman must hate us. I'm going to leave him $100 in the box before Christmas since he has to deliver something to our door every day and he's really a cool guy.

I've done stuff like that for years. Our postman is really a nice guy and I hate that he has to get out each time he delivers the mail to us since I "almost" everyday have something delivered to our house. I "try" to meet him when I know he is coming so he doesn't have to get out each time but if I'm on duty I can't do that. I also take advantage of Amazon Pantry so we have non perishable foods delivered all the time on top of all the other shit I buy. I "personally" feel they are underappreciated and even though that is their job I think a little gesture goes a long way. I'm fortunate enough to be able to have a job that allows me to live comfortably so why not pay it forward?

    Anyway... Hijack over.

@MedlinAround what do you edit your videos with? I have p3 advanced. Never get to make nice clips like those two.

Id' say its user friendly in my opinion over something like . . . . Adobe Premiere. It depends on how far in depth you would like to get in editing, etc... It's way better than say GoPro's software, Windows Movie Maker, Vegas Pro, etc.

It definitely takes some getting used too. I forget how to do more stuff than I know how to do.

Its time consuming to make something look decent, but the more work you want to do to something, the better return you'll get.

To zoom with an editing software you need high quality video such as 4K rendered to say 1080P so you don't lose too much quality in your video, but you can do it using Final Cut.

That was my whole thing, Zoomin in on a video and using the zoomed in part for the final edit. I've covered a couple of events for my firehouse and it always seems like I'm so far away even though I'm only 40 feet off the ground.

I have been building and flying multirotors for 4 years or so now. Don't do much flying for fun anymore as I somehow managed to turn it into a job... who knew.

Photo is from a 3d model project we are working on. Matrice 600 with a X5 payload.

I'm looking to get a drone for the first time. Any advice? I'd like to not spend much more than $150 since it'll be the first one I've had/flown.

Looking to get into yet another expensive hobby I see..

I don't much experience whatsoever but I've just bought 2 off of Amazon, and the Last one I bought was about $65 actually and it's a decent size one. Seems great for beginners as well since it's not that hard to control. Obviously you'll get better responses from someone with more experience.
