    Go away.

We should outfit our shitty drones with like mini swords or some shit and do some aerial acrobatics and joust with them while filming with my MAVIC

Exactly. But drones. I'm willing to sacrifice my cheap one for an awesome video.

What programs do you guys use for video editing? I used to use iMovie a long time ago but I no longer have a MacBook. Windows movie editor obviously blows. I want to get something decent but I'm no professional and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on software

I use Final Cut Pro the majority of the time. But seeing as you don't have a Mac that is not an option. I also use Adobe Premiere Pro but I use it more for hyperlapse videos due to the Warp Stabilizer is far superior to the stabilizer in Final Cut Pro. And.... It's very expensive.

As far a cheap goes, you could always download GoPro's software. It's free and although it is very stripped down it does a decent job. Just don't expect a lot out of it. I'm sure there are others out there but I've got over $1k worth of software that I use for post processing.

Ya I definitely can't spend another thousand on software after spending 1300 on the drone haha. I'll give GoPros thing a try.

This is exactly my process for how I take off with the Mavic. Set it up. Make sure everything is connected and receiving signal. Hit the record button and check my flight path, how many sats. I'm hooked up too, set the RTH elevation, and take off.

Another non graded non post processed shot from Molas Pass. I flew it out about 2 miles and obviously I won't use most of this clip there will be parts that are spliced in to create a movie with all the other video I've got to sort though. The first 30 secs or so is doing the flight check.

*EDIT* This was flying at close to 12,000'

Damn I need to take some time and get into the editing. Those are some great views too. Such a killer how it's getting to restricted to fly just about anywhere here in SoCal.

Restrictions are coming. In reality that doesn't really affect me since I generally fly in remote places where no one is around.

Agreed. I've done a test run and saw the results. For the cheap setup it is I don't expect much. In the future I will probably just go Mavic, or whatever is similar when I'm ready to drop $.
Here's a quick snipit from my test. Like the 3rd time I've flown it in the clip.

For a PC Corel Video Studio. It's cheap for what it is capable of, easy to learn and can do a lot when you master it. I should get kickbacks for promoting them.

Ordering my mavic on Monday through Amazon since I have the Amazon card and get 5% back. I'll pay it off and wait for my account to get credited and use the $65 back towards a third battery. Can't wait!
