That’s good to hear firsthand from somebody. Sometimes hard to trust reviews online anymore.

Honestly, I'm not familiar with the Nikon, I just quickly Googled it and saw $799, the Sony sells for $1399

I did get an open box though for around $950

Either way, hope you're enjoying it. I've been studying mine like crazy and starting to figure it out nicely.

Does the 1399 price include a lens as well or is it just the body? If it's just the body then the sony is more expensive. I couldn't find a clear answer when I googled quickly.

Ah....the Sony is a bridge camera with zoom built in, so no interchangeable lens used on it.

That's what I was thinking based off what I saw. The d7200 is body only, unless you buy a kit with lenses and what not. Luckily my mom had Nikons in the past and no longer uses them so I acquired her lenses.

First video on Final Cut Pro. Still not great, I didn't have enough footage for what I wanted so it's kinda ugly. But boy was it a whole lot better to work with than windows movie maker!

It is an otter. It was having a blast twirling around in the kelp.

I just never recall seeing a seal (or sea lion) floating on the surface like that.

Strangely enough I seen a program on BBC the very next day about this. The otters do this to ruffle up their fur somewhat so tiny air pockets are created to help with insulation, or so they said.

Ah shit, yet another thread I didn't know existed.

So hello! I own a Mavic Pro. I fly it a lot, make short snippet videos for IG, working on my Part 107 license, have a dream of getting paid to do it one day. I love those epic story-telling videos that people create and ultimately hope to reach that level one day, specializing in the off-road story telling.

Here are a couple from my last trip. Short and simple.

Next step is going to be learning post editing in premiere pro.

I'm checking out the difference between this and the Spark right now. Other than the ability to fold and being a few hundred more expensive that is...

    EDIT: Well here ya go...
    https://www.pocket-lint.com/drones/...-dji-mavic-air-vs-dji-spark-worth-the-upgrade

The Mavic Air is a little bigger and heavier, can 'reportedly' fly for 5 extra minutes. Top speed is 11 mph faster at 42 mph, shoots 4K vs 1080p, and has a range of 4km vs 2km (roughly 2.5 miles vs 1.25 miles)

Oh, and a 3 axis gimble vs 2 axis, that's a nice upgrade.

Plus fronts AND rear obstacle avoidance. (front only on the Spark)

It's all around better than the DJI's spark. Has a lot of characteristics as the Phantom series.
