 I'm pulling for you, but it's definitely much harder with a copter. I grew up building r/c cars, yet never had to worry about rudders, ailerons and wind before. Bought and smashed my Blade mqx and now a 180qx, and am only feeling comfortable to destroy a DJI now. lol

Seriously!! Like learning to drive stick on a Jeep, but afterwards, you can drive anything! lol

Why a fan of wood? Wouldn't cf be strongest/lightest? What gave the clue as to the battery in the video? The way it dipped and dipped and then just banked? or did you see the rotors stop? Just curious for my own reference as I learn more about these....

they're typically quiter that most other props... CF is strong and light but very brittle... plastic is too flexy.

In my world, the quiter it is the better it is... :)

It was reported that the batteries weren't charged by the owner of the aircraft: Scott Hansen

been meaning to do propellers on the phantom. i've got a good 10 spares in my case, all properly ballanced, but man do they flex. when you're flying close enough, you can actually see the blur of spinning propeller change shape as you modulate the throttle

 I'm all thinking you have superpowers and can deduce the reason for it's crash by watching the video, but then you go ahead and post another article filled with the answers.

    Thank you....

Won't wood blades cut down on the weight you're able to carry?

    ya that's no bueno...

On traditional helis we call that coning, although it's usually due to an overweight aircraft or high DA day... on a multi, it's just shitty plastic props...

I don't have all the answers, I am just familiar with the majority if "issues" in this industry since it's my job. :D

Woodies compared to traditional composite props have a negligible weight increase and thus a negligible endurance hit. Compared to high quality CF props, you'll probably see a slight reduction in endurance due to the extra weight of the woodie.

Jeeeeeez....... They're not trolling the internet and finding business based around it then.
Naw, it was good on both parts. That Phantom 2 seemed to have a gimble, but I thught the camera was attached directly to the frame. How so steady? Looked great! I thoughtyou posted another where it vibrated a lot..... Hm...
