How do you like the P2Vision? Looks like your head is down during the overflight, so I'm assuming you're flying FPV from your phone... do you find the image difficult to see since it's so small?

It's meant more for autonomous work, hence the A2 controller. It would make an ideal candidate for this new autopilot I'm testing since it's 100% auto - no RC required (but the option still exists).

How is it auto? What does it do? Does it work off waypoints? Is this something not on the market yet that you're testing?

It's akin to a Military UAV autopilot instead of a cheap flight controller... 100% computer controlled via tablet or laptop. It's not on the market yet, but should be by this summer if we stay on schedule... it will blow the current autopilots away

so why do you often see those yellow battery connectors on multirotors? i run them on the phantom and batteries, jsut because that's what it came with. but why are they so popular for multis, when deans (i see you are running an adaptor for one) so clearly dominate the market in the rest of the RC world?

Ya not sure why the XT60 (yellow connectors) is popular. I prefer deans ultra, just because that's what I've used for so many years. Deans *can* get loose whereas the connection with the XT60 is a bit tighter IMHO.

Ya when my buddy at 3DR sent me this APM, he grabbed the XT60 version of the power board instead of the deans version hence the adapters... I'll eventually cut the XT60 off and solder on deans, I just don't feel like it currently :p

so i thought about picking up a cheap quadcopter and figured id come ask before buying anything.

i would like to be less than $100, just something fun to fly and practice (no video). maybe get the hang of things then decide later if i want a larger one to shoot with the gopro. any suggestions on one that would fall in my budget? (i saw one at a mall booth for $80 but i figured i could get a better one than that for the money)

    Thanks guys!

ESC: 6x iPeaka SK HV40A with SimonK Firmware
    Motors: 6x iFlight MT4114 320KV
    Batteries: 2x 3S1P 11.1V 8000mAh, wired in series
Other Batt Setup: 2x 3S2P 11.1V 10000mAh, wired in series

Flight Controller: Can't talk about the current one, but all my initial build test flights were done on a KK 2.0 Board

Range is a direct reflection on radio strength - not a component of the airframe itself. If you put a 1W transceiver on the aircraft your range extends dramatically.
